My Last Virgin Island Adventure
In fact, my trip home was delayed by this hurricane! This was my first experience with any tropical storm of significant magnitude - and it's OK if it's my last too.
The most surprising aspect of the storm was the noise. People had told me that a hurricane makes a lot of noise, but I just never imagined. Have you ever gone to an airport and been near the end of a runway as a jet is taking off?? That's real close to the sound. Now imagine it going on for hours and hours ...
