My original computer background began in the mid 70's as a hardware technician working on Digital Equipment mini-computers.  I was Technical Manager of a fair size data center. My responsibilities were broad and included working closely with the programming staff and customer relations personnel.  It was at this time I started turning those college formal logic and programming classes into something practical.

My next job was MIS at a medium size manufacturing company working with a large range of business, inventory, manufacturing, and modeling software. I left there to join a small consulting firm doing much the same kind of programming and software design.

In the late-80's the market place for Digital Equipment pretty much disappeared due to a variety of forces.  I had a choice - go back to school & rebuild my computer skills or change professions.  I changed professions and earned my A.S. in Nursing and began my work in Critical Care and E.R. departments.

My interest in computers continued and I worked on learning programming in Windows during my spare time.  After developing a variety of applications for my use, I decided to see if I could turn some of them into marketable products.  Software by DalesPlace was born.  RPWiz represents my first commercial venture.  There are several more in the wings.
